9 days to go ...

We're just outside the final week of the 2010 Election campaign and with one Prime Ministerial debate to go on Thursday (well assuming that the SNP Legal Action isn't successful!) there's still time to show your support for the Liberal Democrats by downloading and printing out either of the two A4 Window posters below:

Alternatively just drop me an email and I'll send you a poster in the post.

One thing's for sure though; this is certainly a campaign that will be talked about, for one reason or another, for many years to come!

Vote for Real Change

It's always interesting during election campaigns when people outside of politics and the mainstream media get involved in the election process. You'll no doubt have seen the large number of "viral videos" (from supports of all parties) being uploaded to video-sharing sites like YouTube.

This one is one of my favourites. Enjoy ...

As the election day draws closer if you would like to show your support for Julians' Campaign (or the Liberal Democrats more generally) then you can download and print your own "Liberal Democrats - Winning Here" window diamond (as shown on the left).

A PDF is available here.

If you would like to get involved and help with the campaign please get in touch!

NB: Don't have a colour printer? Just drop me an email and I'll send you one in the post.

Building A Fairer Britain ...

This new leaflet will be winging it's way out in the ward this week. If you'd like to see an electronic copy it's avaiable here (via "The Straight Choice" website).

Even better if you'd like to help deliver it(!) then you can contact Andy Pellew for details.

Prime Ministerial Debate 2/3 - International Affairs (Sky News)

Following on from the first debate the second (of three) Election Debates will take place on Thursday 22nd April at 8pm on Sky News. Unlike many other Sky channels this channel is accessible on Freeview - you don't have to be a Sky subscriber to watch the program!

The BBC will be simulcasting the event so you can listen live on BBC Radio 4 by visiting The World Tonights' Prime Ministerial Debates page here

The First Election Debate is still available on ITV Player (ITV's Catch-Up service):

Clicking here will take you directly to the program. Alternatively if you'd like to listen to the audio-only version broadcast on BBC Radio 4 then the link for that is here.

General Election 2010

The election date has finally been announced: May 6th - the same day as already-scheduled elections for Cambridge City Council.

Work has already begun campaigning across the City to elect Julian Huppert as our next MP.

If you are interested in helping with this effort - and that can be something as simple as displaying a window poster, or displaying a street sign (pictured) all the way up to delivering leaflets or canvassing - then you can either contact any of your local team (details on the left) or visit the Liberal Democrats election HQ in the centre of Cambridge:

Cambridge

I for one am really looking forward to an exciting month of campaigning!
Published and promoted by Andy Pellew, Mike Pitt, Neil McGovern, Simon Brierley and the Cambridge Liberal Democrats, all of 16 Signet Court, Swann Road, Cambridge.
